A mere few hundred metres from our hotel and you float on the Alpe di Siusi cable railway towards your winter’s dream. 24 modern lift facilities take our lovers of the white sport to the more than 20 slopes, where both beginners and experts enjoy the panoramic views of the Dolomites and the Zillertal and Ötztal Alps. The ultimate highlight is Alpe di Siusi’s direct connection to the Dolomiti Superski area, the biggest ski arena in the world. The Dolomiti Superski pass comprises the use of all lift facilities throughout the Dolomites, all –including the Alpe di Siusi cable railway - open from early December until after Easter.
Tobogganing - The Schlern area offers 7 toboggan racing runs. An exciting downhill race is a must and will be the perfect end to your visit of one of the cosy original mountain huts. In those idyllic lodges, the owners will provide bobsleighs for rent.
Cross-Country Skiing in South Tyrol
Alpe di Siusi is a popular training centre for the Italian cross-country national team and foreign professional cross-country skiers. The reason for this is that a stunning 70-kilometre ski runs cater for skiers of all levels and offer interesting varieties between skating and classic styles. Besides, the experience of nature is simply unique.
Ice-skating - Fun activities: ice-skating or curling can be thrilling night-time activities, as you try to see who scores most in your crowd. The frozen Vöser Weiher lake is the perfect location for easy-going skaters and competitive curlers.
Horse-drawn sleigh riding - The very top of romantic adventures is a ride in a Hafling sleigh on powder snow tracks. Comfortably wrapped in warm furs you will reach viewpoints and cosy mountain huts – an experience which no visitor to Alpe di Siusi can miss.
