Seiser Alm Balance in autumn

Gathering energy in South Tyrolean nature

South Tyrol’s nature proves to be a true source of energy. The unbelievable panorama, the clean air, and the idyllic landscape tempt you to go outside – to discover, to experience, to revive. By exercising in the fresh air we promote our health and increase our sense of wellbeing, we create harmony and balance. In short, we find balance. This is exactly what the Seiser Alm Balance initiative strives towards: the search to find our inner balance in nature. Led by experts in their field and with selective events, we guide you through the year and into the hiking and active season.

Balance events in the Sciliar/Schlern area

Various weekly events and workshops for adults and youth from the age of 14 take place from 01.09. to 31.10.2020. For our guests at the Ritterhof most of the experiences are free of charge, registration at the tourist board is necessary.

Forest bathing and tasting on the organic farm

from 2 to 6 p.m.

Just as plants and trees collect energy-giving nutrients in their roots for winter, humans also fill their energy stores with the warming rays of the autumn sun. At the Karlottenkofel, a place of energy in Seis am Schlern, Monika Malfertheiner, an enthusiastic InnerFitness®, fasting, and health trainer, shows you how you can get energy for the winter through forest bathing. Very close by is the 300-year-old Furscherhof, which is organically farmed by Elias Profanter. After a short tour of the farm, you can look forward to a tasting session in the barn where you can try various farm products.

During your hike you collect autumnal herbs and learn all about the famous Sciliar/Schlern witches and the warlock, Kachler Hans, whose favourite dish was ‘Schwarzplentene Knödl’ (buckwheat dumplings). A little refreshment freshly prepared from collected herbs awaits you at the Gostner Schwaige restaurant. Afterwards, head chef and hut owner, Franz Mulser, prepares all kinds of delicious buckwheat dishes with you. While enjoying the culinary specialities you will surely understand why so many sagas and legends of the holiday region Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm revolve around the knotweed plant.

There you can enjoy a small Bergler refreshment, where you can strengthen yourself with a balance drink and regional products from Tiers am Rosengarten.
